After a successful career in the performing arts both as a practitioner and an administrator, my work now aims to connect culture and history through writing about experiences with food. I’ve worked as an actor, a playwright, a director, and an essayist. I was the founding director of a multi-arts center, and taught writing at the undergraduate and graduate level. My writing was awarded fellowships from The MacDowell Colony for the Arts, The Millay Colony, and the Art Matters Foundation. My solo theater works were seen in numerous Off-Off-Broadway venues in New York City.
I hold a BA in Theater from SUNY Stony Brook and an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College. I was awarded a full scholarship to attend the Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management program at The Harvard Business School.
